Kamp Kone is a tournament run by Team Heir. Tournament organisers and volunteers shall herein be referred to as Kamp Kone organisers. “We” may be used to refer to Kamp Kone organisers.

 

Kamp Kone is taking place at the Mount Cook Adventure Centre.

Where the above T&Cs differ from those detailed below, Kamp Kone’s T&Cs take precedence.

Tickets

  • If you purchase a ticket or enter any event at Kamp Kone, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions within this webpage and are bound by them.

  • Failure to abide by these could result in tournament disqualification, being removed the event/venue with no refund and potentially being banned from all future events run by Team Heir organisers.

  • Both venue staff and Kamp Kone organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any ticket holder, or to remove any attendee from the premises, if they are deemed a threat to the comfort or safety of other attendees.

  • Tickets for sale on kampkone.com do not include entry to Kamp Kone Melee singles/doubles. Upon purchasing the ticket, you will be manually added to the smash.gg event page, where you will be able to pay for and enter Melee singles and/or doubles. set up by Kamp Kone organisers. 

Coronavirus

​If you are suffering any symptoms of COVID-19 up to 10 days prior to the event without a negative PCR test, do not attend. Please inform the team immediately in order to discuss how to proceed. We ask you to abide by government guidelines regarding face coverings and social distancing that apply at the time of the event. We require attendees to order and take a Lateral Flow test, 48-72 hours prior to the event. These can be ordered here: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

Refund Policy

  • We cannot offer refunds or re-sales of tickets. This is due to proximity – time wise – to the event. This includes any partial payments by instalment.

  • If the event must be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event will be rescheduled for 2022. All tickets purchased will be transferred. Ticket holders will be given 3 months’ notice prior to the new dates.

  • In the event that Kamp Kone is rescheduled, the specifics of what the ticket covers (eg food provision) may be subject to change.

  • If you are ineligible to enter the event (not the correct age etc.) and purchase a ticket, you are not entitled to a refund for Kamp Kone.

Age Policy

  • Kamp Kone is an 18+ only event. If any attendee is found to be underage by a member of staff, they will be escorted off the premises immediately.

  • Valid ID may be required when collecting an event lanyard on arrival.

  • All bars operate with a challenge 25 policy. If you cannot provide ID when requested to do so, you will be refused purchase of any age-restricted product at the bars.

  • Valid ID includes: driving/provisional licence, passport, PASS Proof of Age card or national ID. Photographs or photocopies of IDs cannot be accepted.​​

Accommodation

  • Accommodation comprises a single occupancy bed with four to a room. Linen is included. Rooms are en suite or have access to a shower block. Every attendee will be allocated a Keycard to gain access to their room and be provided with a locker for valuables.

  • There will be a bedroom allocation form, allowing each attendee to state their preferences regarding sharing of sleeping quarters. We cannot guarantee that all wishes will be fulfilled. All accommodation will be single gender unless explicitly consented to by all occupants of that room.

  • You are liable for any damage done to the accommodation at the event venue, whether the damage was deliberate or accidental.

  • You must leave the rooms in the same condition as they were found. All attendees must have vacated their rooms by 10am on Monday 30th August.

Lanyards

  • Upon arrival at the venue, you must go to the reception area, which will be clearly signposted. Here, you will be provided with a personalised event lanyard.

  • Lanyards are to be worn at all times throughout the event, in social and tournament areas.

  • Venue staff and Kamp Kone organisers are to restrict entry to areas to those not wearing and displaying their lanyards.

  • Damaged or modified lanyards may be rendered invalid.

  • Kamp Kone organisers are not responsible for the loss or theft of any lanyard.

  • If you arrive outside of standard check-in times, you may be required to wait before you are allowed entry and provided your lanyard.

  • Staff are required to question anyone on site not wearing a lanyard. Failure to provide one may result in being escorted off the premises.​​

Drugs and Alcohol

  • Kamp Kone has a strict no illegal drugs policy and will enforce zero tolerance towards anyone caught with illegal substances upon their persons. If anyone is found in possession of illegal substances, they will be escorted immediately off the premises.

  • Prescribed, legal, medicinal drugs are allowed.

  • Security reserves the right to search any individual at any time. Bags/bodies may be searched upon entry, exit or during the event.

  • Excessive drinking is not acceptable, please drink responsibly.

  • Drunken, aggressive or disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated. If you are found to be behaving inappropriately, you may be ordered to return to your accommodation, be removed from the premises and potentially be banned from future events.

  • Cigarettes and electronic cigarettes are not to be used indoors or near entrances to any buildings on site.

  • Attendees are not permitted to consume their own alcoholic beverages in the Centre

Miscellaneous

  • Venue fee for this event covers costs of the venue, payment of Mount Cook staff and other general costs contributing to the quality of the event.

  • The schedule for the event can be changed at any point. It is the responsibility of the attendee to regularly check for amendments.

  • No trading or selling of goods/services by any Kamp Kone attendee is to take place on the premises, without written consent from a Kamp Kone organiser.

  • Kamp Kone organisers are not responsible for any goods or services received from any third party traders.

  • Causing any fire damage, including the burning of any furniture, bedding or plastics is prohibited throughout the premises, and could result in criminal charges being pressed if anyone is caught doing so.

  • Abusive, violent or any other behaviour that impedes on the safety and comfort of other attendees is prohibited.

  • With the exception of required assistant animals, no animals are allowed on site.

  • Lighting and sound systems will be used by the event. If this could cause any potential issues, please contact us at teamheiruk@gmail.com prior to the event.

  • If there are any concerns regarding accommodating for disabilities, please contact us at teamheiruk@gmail.com prior to the event.

  • Kamp Kone organisers and venue staff are not liable for any injuries, loss or damages to attendees, their property or motor vehicles during the event.

Safety and Security

  • Any prohibited items found in your possessions or upon your person will be confiscated and you will be asked to immediately leave the event with your entry revoked.

  • Kamp Kone organisers and venue staff reserve the right to refuse entry and evict any persons found in possession of prohibited items including but not limited to: knives, amplifying outdoor sound systems used in public spaces, fireworks, explosives, BBQs, smoke and gas canisters, air horns, flares, any weapons or items that have the capability of injuring others, laser devices, drones or unnamed aerial vehicles and sky lanterns.

  • Harassment of any kind towards Kamp Kone attendees or staff will not be tolerated, whether in person or on social media platforms. Exhibiting this behaviour will result in expulsion from the event.

Media Policy

  • Personal and non-commercial filming and photography is permitted throughout the public site of the event on personal devices (mobile phones/tablets/compact cameras etc). This must be done with respect to both attendees and staff of the event.

  • No professional or commercial filming and photography is permitted with the exception of individuals granted consent from Kamp Kone organisers. Such official media or event photographers will wear a Press/Media Pass. If you wish to obtain a pass, please email teamheiruk@gmail.com.

  • If using cameras/filming equipment (including mobile phones) please be mindful, courteous and request permission from fellow event attendees to proceed with photographic shots. If it is brought to our attention that photographs or videos have been taken without permission or without an official pass, you will be required to delete the content, and may be requested to leave the event if you fail to comply with our requests.

  • Photographs taken at our event must have our given approval in order to be included in any advertising.

  • Kamp Kone organisers and Mount Cook Adventure Centre reserve the right to use your image in any marketing or promotional material.

  • By purchasing a ticket, you are consenting to being filmed, photographed or recorded for livestream, social media and security purposes.​

Data Protection

​Your personal data will only be processed with the purpose of operating the event and for other internal purposes such as determining improvements for future events - unless otherwise given specific consent to the use of your data for other purposes. All processing of your personal data will be done in accordance with the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998/2018 as well as any successor legislation applicable in the UK.

  • You are liable for any damage done to the venue or third party property at the event venue, whether the damage was deliberate or accidental.

  • We do not limit our liability to you in any way that is unlawful. This includes injury or death that is caused by negligence of a Kamp Kone organiser, member of venue staff, or agent/subcontractor. This also includes fraud/fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • If any term within these terms and conditions are found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, then that term is severed. The remainder of all terms within these terms and conditions shall still continue in full force.

  • If we fail to enforce a term within these terms and conditions, this does not render that term invalid. You may not transfer or assign your rights under these terms and conditions.

  • All English laws apply to these terms and conditions. Any dispute between us and yourself regarding these terms and conditions will only be dealt with within courts within the United Kingdom.

  • We reserve the right to ban you from accessing this site and all online services that we provide.

Noise levels

Mount Cook Adventure Centre requires the event to keep noise to a relative minimum –below 96 decibels. If any Kamp Kone organiser asks you to reduce the volume of your voice you must do so, or you may be asked to return to your accommodation. By 11pm each night we have been asked to bring noise levels down to an absolute minimum. 

We reserve the right to add or amend these Terms and Conditions when necessary. Amendments will become official when posted on the official event website and social media channels. Please regularly check our official website and social media platforms for any changes to ensure you are up to date with any legally binding information. In the eventuality of any amendments of the terms after purchase of tickets, you agree to adhere to the updated version of these terms.
